Stillman College might be standard in disgusting?

If this is true, I could not stay on this campus’s dorm no longer than 2 minutes. According to several new reports students attending Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Alabama have been subjected to disgusting living conditions in the school’s housing. They students claim to have made several complaints such as pointing out missing or deteriorating ceiling tiles, nasty molds, broken pipes, water stains, and a serious roach problem!

Amina Kelly a student attending the college submitted pictures to the WBRC news station of Roulhac Hall and Hay Hall which are two dormitories located in the private liberal arts college’s campus. The photos displayed missing ceiling tiles, nasty moldy showers, and garbage stains throughout the building. In addition, she claims that the molds have caused her to have skin problems. In fact, she claims that the molds contributed to spots and bumps all over her neck, chest and face. “It started coming on my lips and then it would get really ashy and scaly,” Kelly said.

Kelly also said she attempted to clean the molds herself but it was too much. Later, she contacted Stillman College but claims she was met with serious “resistance” and “disrespect”. The whole situation has made Kelly decide to transfer to another college. After WBRC reported this story, several other students have come out to back Kelly’s claims saying that the place is trashy and extremely dirty with a nasty roach problem!

Stillman College’s Vice-President for Student Affairs, Dr. Sharon said,”It is in the best interest of our institution that we maintain a favorable atmosphere on our campus. The maintenance of these facilities is reviewed periodically and, when required, repairs are made or concerns addressed. A number of repairs were made last week in Roulhac Hall, and our plant operations team continues to aggressively monitor and repair as needed.”

Could you imagined staying in a dorm like that? I mean its one thing to be dirty but to have molds and a serious roach problem? Anyway, what’s your opinion on this whole situation?
